2. What happens when you visit my website?

Hosting in Belgium

I have my website hosted in Belgium. This automatically collects information (so-called server log files), such as your IP address, the browser type and the time of access. I need this data to ensure that the website functions properly and securely.

Contact form

If you send me a message via the contact form, I will save your details so that I can process your request and reply to you. I will not pass on this data without your permission.

Newsletter (MailPoet)

I would be delighted if you would subscribe to my newsletter. I use the MailPoet tool for this. I use the „double opt-in“ procedure to ensure that no one is added to the list unintentionally: You will receive an e-mail after subscribing and will only be added to my mailing list if you actively confirm in this e-mail. You can of course unsubscribe at any time via a link in the newsletter.

  • Google Maps: To make it easier for you to find my practice in Moosseedorf.
  • Google reCAPTCHA: To protect my website from spam and abuse by bots (automated programs), I use reCAPTCHA. This service verifies that the entries in my forms are made by a human. To do this, Google analyzes user behavior based on data such as the IP address, mouse movements, and the amount of time spent on the page.

Data may be transferred to Google in the USA. However, Google is certified under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which guarantees the secure handling of your data.

YouTube videos

I occasionally embed videos from YouTube. When you watch these, a connection is established to Google's servers, which tells Google that you have visited my site.

Facebook Pixel (Meta)

I use the Facebook pixel. This helps me to measure whether my advertisements on Facebook are successful. If you have a Facebook account, Meta can associate this information with your profile.
