What is ear acupuncture?
In ear acupuncture, the finest disposable needles or tiny seeds (so-called permanent needles) are placed at precisely localized points on the auricle. As the ear is closely linked to the brain, this therapy has a particularly rapid effect on the nervous system. It is often used in addition to body acupuncture to release blockages, influence the sensation of pain and support the body's self-regulation.
What symptoms does ear acupuncture help with?
Ear acupuncture is often used for the following complaints:
Addiction cessation and metabolic diseases: It is widely used to help people stop smoking and to reduce weight (curbing hunger pangs and withdrawal symptoms).
Pain: acute pain of the musculoskeletal system, sciatica, migraines and tension headaches
Mental stress: stress, inner restlessness, anxiety states such as test anxiety and sleep disorders
Allergies and respiratory diseases: especially hay fever and allergic asthma
Hormonal issues: cycle disorders or menopausal symptoms
How much does an ear acupuncture treatment cost?
A single ear acupuncture treatment costs about 50 francs. I usually combine ear acupuncture with body acupuncture and other methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The total cost of the treatment is typically between 120 and 156 francs.

What are the possible side effects of ear acupuncture?
Ear acupuncture is considered to be very safe. Occasionally there may be slight redness, sensitivity to pressure or a feeling of warmth in the ear. Make sure you maintain good hygiene.
